FIAT

FIAT was first founded as “Fabbrica Italiana Automobil Torino – F.I.A.T” by Giovanni Agnelli and several other investors. The same year, the company introduced its first 4 HP car and in 1900 the first plant was built, allowing production to reach 24 cars per year. Fabbrica Italiana Automobil Torino had a steady start and by 1903 was making a profit. The enthusiasm that guided those early visionaries generated a company that inherited their passion, know-how and experience, with Fiat going on to build 7 factories, participate in 6 joint ventures and employ over 50,000 people.
Throughout their history, FIAT have collaborated with just about every notable coachbuilder to provide some of truly exclusive motor cars. Notable FIAT cars include the Otto Vu, Dino, 1200TV, 124 Sport Spider, 130 Coupe, and of course the ground-breaking 500 city car.
