Produced in the final production year of the legendary 930 Turbo, these scarce last-of-the-line cars were fitted with the highly desirable Getrag G50 five-speed transaxle, ensuring that few cars could compete with the 930’s unquestionable dominance both on the street and on the race track.
The 911 Turbo Cabriolet carries Porsche’s unrivalled experience of turbocharging from the race track to the road. Outstanding acceleration, cornering and road holding all reflect Porsche’s heritage. But it is the 911 Turbo’s qualities of endurance and reliability that determine its suitability for everyday use. Performance is derived from its 3.3 litre air-cooled turbocharged six cylinder horizontally opposed rear-mounted engine, with 300 bhp DIN at 5,500 rpm, and maximum torque 430 Nm at 4,800 rpm. Only in 1989, its last year of production, was the 930 equipped with a five-speed gearbox.
This is just 1 of 13 1989 Porsche Turbo Cabriolets still registered in the UK today. It remains an iconic 1980’s supercar, which continues to excite enthusiasts and collectors all over the world. The 1989 911 Turbo Cabriolet is far more refined than earlier variants whilst retaining its high performance edge. As you would expect, a detailed history file as well as the official service book is supplied with this stunning vehicle.
